Including being injured quite a lot....
would you take him over reffel considering the impact this season?
When he left I was disappointed, now it's a bit of a flip of a coin, Reffell is a bit bigger, Evans a more natural jackal maybe.
Both a credit to our Academy, the issue is if Tommy goes back to Wales.
These lads need to step up a bit to reach the level of players like Ben Earl and Jack Willis.
Evans and Earl are a very similar size.
They are all good players but the difference is in the strength and quality of their work.

Evans could be as good as any of them imo. I remember his debut? when he gave Kvesic a lesson and thought wow, this kid could be special.

Evans won't get a look in with the England squad.
Hell of a player, proper fetcher very skilful.
But doesn't compare to the physicality the others bring, most tackles he makes tend to be the traditional around the legs lose some ground but potentially swing around to get the turnover, nowadays 7's seem to be the ones to lead the defensive line.

Costelow & Kalamofoni start for the Scarlets this weekend.

Good news for Sione with his previous Concussion issues.

Brad Thorn's Queensland Reds got off to a good start for their season last night demolishing the New South Wales Waratahs 41-7
No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Thorn is starting to build something at the Reds, really disappointed that neither Super Rugby AU or Aotearoa are on Sky Sports this year :smt010.

Are they not showing anywhere over here? I stopped having Sky sometime ago, the NZ Rugby was one of the few things I genuinely missed.

Nope not been picked up by anyone as yet.

Sounds like the Aus and NZ unions want a higher price than Sky etc are willing to pay.

If people are interested I can do a Super Rugby 2021 thread similar to Robespierre’s French rugby one?

Which is interesting as the coverage has been done by Sky down under so you'd think that, as they're owned by the same company (assumption on my part) they'd be able to come to some cheap and simple deal to screen them over here too.
