Re: European competitions
I'm glad Leinster lost, would much rather Toulouse have the 5 Stars than the Dubliners.
Formerly of Burbaaage (not Inkleh), now up north at uni

Fair enough. Guilty as charged.Cardiff Tig wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 5:36 pmDokie wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 9:37 pmTBH Cardiff Tig, I think there’s more chance of Newport Dragons winning the Challenge Cup than Sarries winning at Leinster!Cardiff Tig wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 6:44 pm I'm not sure, my moneys on Sarries. For all their faults, they're one hell of a team when they hit form.
Re: European competitions
I recon that Sarries could go on and win it again. Wont please too many of us but, assuming they are within the cap, they look invincible.

Re: European competitions
Sarries : words eaten and cap doffed. The first half especially, as impressive , disciplined and professional performance as I've witnessed in a long, long time.
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

So Racing won at Clermont, despite conceding four tries and only scoring two themselves. I didn’t see the game but it seems to me that Clermont’s discipline was punished as Racing kicked eight penalties. A Racing v Sarries semifinal next weekend is mouthwatering!

Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!
Re: European competitions
I think proof, if it were needed, that Sarries would have been at the top even if they hadn't broken the rules.MCC1964 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 5:12 pm Have to say I have a begrudging respect for Sarries. I know they have been naughty boys, but winning like they do is not just about spending more on players. They’re well coached and drilled and put everything in as players. I might be in the minority, but just saying...
I predicted Leinster to win comfortably, shows what I know!

Toulouse 36 - Ulster 8. An impressive win with an outstanding performance by man of the match Cheslin Kolbe. We’ll have a home semi-final if Northampton beat Exeter - the pigs will be flying in Exeter shortly

Re: European competitions
This might be a controversial idea but with the increases in cases in England and France.
Both European Semifinals will have 2 English teams playing 2 French teams. Yet all 4 matches mean a team will be travelling abroad.
Plus possibly 2 more for the finals.
If the European competitions were to be redrawn as domestic semifinals so the English clubs play each other in the semifinals and the French clubs do too, that means possibly ⅔ less overseas exposure and at least ½. I know it it's not ideal but it seems to me that it'll increase the odds of a satisfactory (if not ideal) endings to the cups.

14-10 to Chiefs at HT. All to play for!
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Wonder if Isiekwe regrets not coming to us on loan?
We are not playing much better but at least he would be starting at lock more and working with the former England Forwards coach.
Boyd gives me Mauger vibes TBH just slightly better.

Boyd won Super Rugby though...
Not sure Biggar is the 10 for a Boyd team.

To win is not as important as playing with style!
