FINALLY!!! Early pressure finally turned into points!
No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?
non possumus capere

Impressed with Henry, looks very comfortable at 10. Good start from the lads.. Potter and Simmons looking sharp and scrum looks solid as usual. Need to tidy up the lineout but decent first half so far

Guy Porter having a good game too, I'd like to see him replace Taute alongside Scott at some point

Impressed by the outside hustle in defence from the backs - wasps haven’t got much room to create havoc in the wide channels with both wingers pushing up and followed by the centres.
Cut the discipline errors and get some line out control and we could be in with a chance.

Tigers far more competitive in the first half than I expected. Better set piece and we would be level or ahead.
Some poor discipline hasn't helped either. It does seem that refereeing at the scrum and breakdown is a bit random today- not biased against tigers, just impossible to predict when the ref will call something a penalty. Difficult for both teams to know what they can do and what they can't.
Henry very impressive again, apart from butchering an easy try opportunity by not giving the pass.
Agreed on Porter, looks like a good player again.

The back row's a obvious struggle.
Willis is going to have a field day.
But not much we can do with back row numbers low.
Generally pleasing first half.
The backs seem to be controlling the game more than in the other fixtures, chasing hard and trying to keep pressure on Umaga and Mills in defence.

Porter is certainly putting pressure on the coaches for selection at the weekend. Best we've seen from him so far. Ditto Henry has been very good and Kelly hasn't looked out of place at 13 which is a massive complement considering he's up against Fekitoa.Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 6:13 pm Guy Porter having a good game too, I'd like to see him replace Taute alongside Scott at some point
Genge as captain seems to be bringing the best out of him.
Got to sort the lineout. I'm not sure what's going wrong, probably me as I was talking Kerr up. Gaskell seems to be putting on a lot of pressure that we aren't able to reverse.

Wells on the bench, think he'll be introduced fairly quickly if the Line out keeps faltering, maybe Lewis too

We just need to lower the penalty count, but a good half from our "weaker" team
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Why are not playing a settled side ,you many changes and not enough experience in the team each week means we're too often embarrassed in the key areas.
Why is our defence so leaky and fragile

Well regardless of who we play you can't really do settled sides when you play 3 games a weekWiggoTiger wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 6:32 pm Why are not playing a settled side ,you many changes and not enough experience in the team each week means we're too often embarrassed in the key areas.
