Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20
Everyone starts from 0 minutes tomorrow. The quota starts again for the next three games. I think it's a maximum of 180 mins over the three games but players can only start a maximum of two of them.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 1:00 pmWhat is the exact rules on playing minutes with Covid?kpj tiger wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 12:56 pmFeel like a lot of those Sale players must be very close to playing their maximum allowed minutes? No more than 180 minutes and two starts in a 9 day period. So in theory a player could start two and bench for the third but would not be able to play full games.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 1:00 pmWhat is the exact rules on playing minutes with Covid?kpj tiger wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 12:56 pmFeel like a lot of those Sale players must be very close to playing their maximum allowed minutes? Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20
A pack lacking a bit of dynamic ball carrying, but should be able to cope physically.
Be nice to see the centres playing the other way round.
Would like to see a bit more evidence of our improvement than the soundbites from our coaches/senior players.
Sale favourites, they should have to win the game as a bare minimum, some sort of Bonus Points for us would be good, the lack of them is partially why we have been struggling on the league for so long.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

Good mix of experience and those youngsters that have impressed. I have a good feeling about this one.

I think Deacon's England career was significantly affected by his back injury, never quite got back to the same level which was a shame as he was on an upward curve up to that point.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 11:23 am
What stopped him from getting more caps was probably his carrying. Not a strong element of his game but he was good at getting the hard graft done to free others up to play. Unfortunate that we didn't have a lock partner for England that would bring out the best of that. Launchbury came along as Deacon was finishing otherwise that could have worked.

Agreed, very impressive. Best in the league last 3.. keep it up lads
Oakham lad born and bred, Tigers season ticket holder who is enjoying steady progression back towards the good old days!
Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20
To concede 17 pens in 1st game and only 6 in the 4th is very impressive. Im really hoping we can compete tomorrow. I would think Sale have the breakdown however.
I'm not cynical just experienced
Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20
My thoughts exactly. Plus one or two of our late arrivals leaves us with a reasonable squad for visiting wasps.RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 12:52 pm Maybe trying the rotation route? With the likes of Youngs, Reffell and Taufua propping a youngish pack?

8 South Africans in the starting 15!
[/quote]
I wonder, does that constitute a record number for a Premiership starting team?
I think they do have at least a couple more not in this match day squad - another du Preez and Wiese
