Re: Kyle Eastmond
He never impressed me while he was with us.
Re: Kyle Eastmond
Kyle gave his all for us and was unlucky to be around in an unsettled back line due to injury. Last season, particularly away from home he really did put in some very good performances.
Good luck Kyle.
Good luck Kyle.
Re: Kyle Eastmond
I think the gamble was taken to try and repeat the form he and Ford had at Bath. Unfortunately for whatever reason that rarely happened
Re: Kyle Eastmond
Hope he does well but wont be missed, one standout season in his Union career for me. Good luck for the future though

Re: Kyle Eastmond
A good big un will nearly always beat a good little un,
I think Kyle is unfortunate that against top class defences he does not have the physique to prosper, he always looked a very capable player but size was against him as he knew he would not win many collisions, so the defence could stand off and block the offload. I wish you did not have to be 6'2'' and 16 stone to be a centre but that is the reality!
Good luck to him in the future.

Ruck sources which are what?
Re: Kyle Eastmond
Usually nowt. One step up from RIL.
I still think Tom Stephenson could be a good punt for our squad coming the other way. I'm really impressed with the recruitment in the outside backs but 12 is still light.

Neil Fissler tweeting about it a few days ago probably

Re: Kyle Eastmond
I was surprised when we originally signed Eastmond, amazed when he had a contract for this season, utterly bemused he had one for next.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Re: Kyle Eastmond
A player I like and who has had no luck with injuries. If we could pick him up on the cheap (entirely possible) then he would be worth a punt.
We have plenty of options at 12 with Scott, Taute, Hardwick, Worth and I think Potter said he's played there previously and Nadolo has played 12 for Fiji. Dan Kelly played 12 for Loughborough University and then 23 for Ireland under 20s so is another option. A bit light on specialist 12s but lots of players able to cover.
Depends where we are with the salary cap. I'd like us to keep some cap spare as I think it's likely some players will become unexpectedly available over the next 12 months and a bit of spare cap to allow us to bring them in would be handy. The squad is looking pretty good at the minute as well.

Re: Kyle Eastmond
Neil Fissler (Rugby Paper 16/8) reports that Eastmond has rejected short term deals at both Harlequins and London Irish , and due to a young family has no interest in playing abroad. He is supposedly seriously considering legal action against Leicester.
Taking into account the situation , a fruitless exercise , i would believe.

Re: Kyle Eastmond
I would 100% take legal action against my employer if they terminated my contract without cause. Of course the pandemic has placed the club in financial difficulties but that argument cuts both ways. I would not be suprised if we went up paying compensation to all 5 of our jettisoned players.
