If that is the end of the re-signings. then I expect next season to be Tom's last hence no need to extend his contract but of course, I may be wrong
An interesting question for me is how many of the stood down players would have been offered an extension and are they beginning to regret what they turned down. Of course, we will never know but I can't help wondering.
Another issue that hasn't been resolved is Lavi and JT. I did expect some info but maybe that is for another day.
Lavi has at least signed the new contract (we just don't know if he's extended or not)
JT though we don't know about...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
My guess is that
Cole, Clare, Kerr, Youngs, Green, Simmons, Coghlan, McPhillips are contracted to end of next season 2020/21
Heyes, Lewis, Lavanini, Hardwick, are contracted to the season after. 2021/22
The 13 senior re-signings split between ending 2022/23 and 2023/24
Genge rumoured to be 2022/23
It looks like Gigena is 2023/24 Ford was rumoured to sign a 3 new deal this year so a potential extension could mean 2023/24 also.
So potentially the squad might be looking at having a more even contract period instead of having to negotiate 16-20 players a season.
HOPEFULLY
All very good news, but still a few key questions to be answered - Taufua & potential new players.
The important thing though is that we know we are going into the remainder of the season with a decent core of players and that some incredibly talented and committed players are now signed up long term. Brilliant
I'm really enthused by all this.
Apropos RichieB complaining that threads get 'perverted' into discussions of the distant past (2000 isn't that distant for me, 1965 would be) it's because we all kept asking ourselves "where did it all go wrong".
I'm hoping that this is a watershead (nod to the old RL fans from Oldham) and we can now discuss the time where it all began to go right again.

Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95

BT Tweeted a photo of three of Tigers signings Ford, Youngs and Genge, only problem, yet again the third photo is Lewis Ludlum. They are currently getting ripped apart by him and Gengey!

Dear Lord, they deserve everything they get then!!!!
Completely agree. Wouldn’t do much for squad unity and cohesion going forwards. You want players fully committed and on board. Plus there are plenty of quality 13 options out there.
Bateman confirmed to be leaving now too. Imagine the other 3 players will all be leaving too. Guess we’re just waiting on Taufua. Either way I guess players leaving will be replaced for the 20/21 season. In some ways it’s an opportunity to reinvest in the squad a year early, especially in the centres, no one was fully convinced by Eastmond or Reid.
Shame. There's alot that will go unknown I would hope - because if this comes out it doesn't sound like it'll be good. lets hope there's non-disclosures in place otherwise we're heading for quite the book selection in a few years time
