The objective of the interview was to provide clarity amidst the media speculation.

We've ended up with even more speculation and uncertainty about our marquee player.

Didn't quite hit the mark.

I've always been a big Manu Tuilagi fan, and I'm still a bit gutted that he's gone. I just wanted to see a decent run of games with the back line we had, we could have ripped other teams apart, but internationals and injuries just meant it never really happened. And when it did the coaching wasn't good enough.

If we can get a team together that want to play, are together more often and are well coached I'm happy that we can still be a force. Especially if we can keep Taufua.

I'll be gutted if Manu goes to another English club but less bothered if he goes to France.

I can't say I'm happy with the ways things have been dealt with, or the way that it's turned out, but what we've got is what we've got. It will be interesting to see if there is any further recruitment, because with the current squad and accepting that we have a percentage of the squad injured, is very light in some areas.

You do a sterling job Mr Bull, very grateful for your efforts. At the moment it is a bit like painting the Forth Bridge, as soon as you finish it is time to start again!

Disappointed that I thought the interview would put the Taufua rumours to bed although I'm going to take McGinty's tweet as an indication that he is staying (or at least still in renegotiation).

Guessing really , but based on various statements that The Club will spend upto the Salary Cap there will probably be further recruitment at some stage as a large amount of finance has just become available. Also , without question, players and options will be on the market.

Is that ‘large amount of finance’ pre- or post-claim settlements for breach of contract or to make up for low offers from other Premiership clubs who know Tigers will likely have to stump up the difference?
