The Rugby Paper 914/6/20) add the name of Michael Cheika to potential Ackerman replacements
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

Re: Ackerman leaving Gloucester?
All kicking off now with LI complaining they've heard nothing from Glaws and that Skivington has a year still on his contract and hasn't served his notice period. Sounds like the start of an expensive negotiation for Glaws
Re: Ackerman leaving Gloucester?
I suppose they can use the money they get from suing Sale over Van Rensburg. More than a bit hypocritical for them to be so outraged about that and then do very similar themselves with Skivington.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 8:56 am All kicking off now with LI complaining they've heard nothing from Glaws and that Skivington has a year still on his contract and hasn't served his notice period. Re: Ackerman leaving Gloucester?
It will be interesting if LI reduced Skivington's salary because of the coronavirus situation. If they've breached the contract first then he can pretty much walk away depending on how that negotiation went.

L Irish very keen to state that the terms of his contract have not been breached. Perhaps, reading between the lines, Skivington believes his contract has been breached but L Irish clearly disagree.

Does anyone know what Cipriani's contact has been with Skivington as a coach to be so gushing in his praise and delight in the announcement?Tiglon wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 9:48 am https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/53205518

He played with him at Wasps. Unsure if Skivs work with LI or Samoa will have been of note to Cips particularly. He does seem very excited far more so then the usual club written press release.Scuttle wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 10:11 amDoes anyone know what Cipriani's contact has been with Skivington as a coach to be so gushing in his praise and delight in the announcement?Tiglon wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 9:48 am https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/53205518

Perhaps George has told Danny he is the best thing since sliced bread & is a better player than Dan Carter, Phil Bennett & Barry John combined.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 10:22 amHe played with him at Wasps. Note to Danny most of us think multiple England coaches might be more correct about you..
To win is not as important as playing with style!

I think they'd be correct if they'd won a World Cup.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 11:35 amPerhaps George has told Danny he is the best thing since sliced bread & is a better player than Dan Carter, Phil Bennett & Barry John combined.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 10:22 amHe played with him at Wasps. Yet England won the world cup with arguably a conservative FH & game plan..BFG wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 12:16 pmI think they'd be correct if they'd won a World Cup.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 11:35 amPerhaps George has told Danny he is the best thing since sliced bread & is a better player than Dan Carter, Phil Bennett & Barry John combined.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 10:22 am

Not many doubt the talent of Cipriani, it's the other parts, rugby is a team game after all.

Re: Ackerman leaving Gloucester?
Strangely despite his talent & travels few teams have won trophies with Cipriani at fly-half.
