Wonder what our team would look like if the Premiership was to start next season.
Why does the new incoming players be contracted to join?
I guess worst case it would be a good chance to bring in some younger players in the back 3.

Does Rugby count as an aspect of the “hospitality sector”? Hopefully we will know more tomorrow...

Spot on Scott, all Boris was doing was buying some time to work out what he's going to do.

Sport doesn't count as hospitality, but I doubt enough people can agree on how to resume it soon enough to actually be able to resume it.

Basically, use your common sense. If you go out, make sure you social distance. If you don’t have common sense, then stay at home.

I'm surprised that the government hasn't thought to help sort out a return for top level sports on television.
Boredom resulting in complacency is the biggest danger to spreading presently.

Expect some more clarity tomorrow when he takes questions in the Commons and outlines it more.

Ah, more clarity tomorrow. That's what they said yesterday...

Common sense? Great idea. Apart from the fact that if you tell five people to use common sense, they'll each come up with a different course of action.

VE Day has just been celebrated: that generation had 6 years of uncertainty with greater restrictions than we are facing.
Football, rugby aren’t the priority.
I’ll be happy if people keep showing the responsibility that most of us have shown so far to keep bringing the death rate down until no one is dying from it.
Keep up the great work all key workers.

To emphasise the dangers of this virus a retired friend, who voluntarily works in a care home, self isolated for 14 days a month ago after showing signs of the virus. This friend then felt well enough to carry on with her care work as she felt completely healthy. She got herself tested and the tests were positive! She is again isolating but has no symptoms! She, is sadly an example of what The Government, the whole world is up against, many people are “ secret carriers.” Testing, self distancing has to be in place for a lot longer yet.

A return to professional sport is still a long way off in my opinion.

To add to my above post:
BBC Sport 10 May
A third Brighton player has tested positive for coronavirus.

The unnamed player, who will now self isolate for 14 days, was tested on Saturday - two other players tested positive earlier in the pandemic.

Brighton players have been training individually at the training ground and the club say this will be allowed to continue.

Premier League clubs are due to meet on Monday for more discussions about their proposed Project Restart plan.

"It is a concern," Brighton chief executive Paul Barber told Sky Sports. "Despite all of the measures that we've been taking over the past few weeks, where the players haven't been involved in any significant training at all, we've still suffered another player testing positive for the virus."

Responding to news of the Brighton player, Norwich's 22-year-old midfielder Todd Cantwell tweeted: "We are just people too."

The impression I'm getting is that this virus is spreading and restrictions are about managing the R value with ICU capability.
Sport on television is one way of attempting to keep the R value under control.
Of course players are people.
Many people are being required to work.
It's not going away anytime soon.

To be fair, he had ten minutes to summarize what is apparently 60 pages of detailed policy to be published later today. Say anymore, or take anymore time, and no one would watch.

Well hopefully this Super Rugby Aotearoa will show the Prem how to do rugby behind closed doors.
