Well it doesn't have Daly in it.

What a call that is! Jones and now WG,I suppose the only thing would be kicking penalties in your own half and he can cover so many positions from the 23 shirt

& covers them equally badly at the moment. Some of Gatlands choices are odd but you can see the idea/rationale behind most of them (Kay made a good point last night), but Daly, Mako & Hill are really strange, but hey I am not a International Rugby Coach.

I think perhaps parts of this Lions squad is picked with the added need of versatility compared to previous tours.
It's not like they even know for sure what the situation might be around travel and quarantine requirements if they need injury replacements.

100% agree.

Clearly the Lions means more Kyle Sinckler than it does to some on here:

I think it’s becoming oh so clear that Gatlands selections are pathetic and unjust for many players, It’s not the fact that one quality player lost out to another it’s the fact Gatland has picked, injured, out of form, the golden hand shake boys. Sinckler and Genge are the sort of characters you need in SA, both outstanding players and both will not take a backward step against any bully boy SA antics. Players like Rees-Zammit are going to be targeted and destroyed by the SA big boys, it’s Matthew Tait all over again, Gatland has been naive and one dimensional in his picks, in a way you hope the boys who didn’t get picked don’t pick up the phone when the call comes, let the lead balloon drop!!

Genge and Sinckler’s omissions are the puzzlers.
How many times does Macko have to get demolished in the scrum before international coaches spot it. Jamie George like many of the Sarries players looked out of touch in the 6N.

Sinckler has found his form, and Genge is back to form having wasted too much time bench warming for England.

How Daly gets picked having proven, time after time, that he just doesn’t cut it at the top level?

I have no issues with Rees-Zammit being selected over May. I don’t see him being liability.

I don't think many outside this forum thought Genge stood a chance of going.
