smart ball trial

Post by trendylfj »

What do people think about this - I can see how a sensor can tell if the ball travels forward but does that mean they are taking away the forward movement of players. How it is going to tell off sides I am at a loss or is it just some offsides - No offside at ruck etc or is it going to do that as well?

It's a shame if it is a spoof.

The "interpretation" of a forward pass really annoys me. In the rest of the world but rugby, movement is defined relative to a fixed point, unfortunaltely rugby has allowed the "fixed" point to be the podition that the arms are pointing rather than the pitch.

Don't forget the Laws of Relative Velocity, but don't let actual scientific fact get in the way eh! - here we go again... :smt015
