In these strange times it didn’t sound ludicrous at all.

I'd certainly jump at the chance to move to Shetland (and/or Orkney), especially if I could see the Up Helly aa festival!

I rather liked the idea. There's a good chance the beer would be cheaper than at Welford Rd too (& maybe more choice than Tiger)!

More realistic would be Jersey than the Shetland Islands.

Jersey already heavily populated so not a choice. In view of the date of the original post I suggest the Scilly Isles.

The Falklands would be better, rugby is a winters game and its now Autumn over there, also could we play our AI over there, Argentina would feel at home.

They should finish the season on Rugby 20, each club with their best nominated players and show it on the telly.
I reckon I'd watch that.

They’d never do that though unfortunately although some clubs like Saints and Bath have been playing Rugby 20 and doing similar. It would raise good awareness for the video game which is apparently pretty decent and certainly rugby’s best venture into the console market since Rugby Challenge 3 or maybe even Rugby World Cup 2011, be fun for someone like Wayne Barnes to do it.

Wasn't it Argentina viewing the Falklands as "home" that kicked off events in 1982?

I think you're right that they wouldn't do it but it would be fun.

BT can sort themselves out before they start asking for rebates, or at least get it off the football clubs who can still foot the bill rather than try and squeeze out the little money that rugby clubs bave left.
