.....An interesting topic of discussion, but isn't it going off piste for this thread?
Agreed! Pleeeeeeeeeease, pretty please move this to another thread. This is supposed to be about 2019/2020 squad transfers. Every time I see the thread bumped up to the top of the board I keep thinking there is genuinely some news to learn about!
Slow news day...
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

Surely Alesana Tuilagi has to be up for there. Newby and Hamilton were both instrumental to winning sides. Obviously Ayerza and Castro. Kayser and Dupuy were both great gents.
His older brother was the key signing in the Tuilagi dynasty.

Winston Stanley, now he was a firm fan’s favourite and another old name who never made it at Tigers was Gareth Rayner
Franck Tournaire Number 1 fan.

Perry Freshwater as well!
Oooooh, now there's a question - ended up playing for England. Does that exclude him?
Edit: he was capped in 2005, two years after he left us - I'll get back in my box

Dominic Ryan, another player like Denton who sadly had to retire because of concussions.

I already said Raynor, he's the one I think of when it comes to rugby league conversion failures. He scored shed loads in league.

This is Canada’s Winston Stanley not the Samoan international who played at Harlequins.

We could go the other way and name outstanding overseas players from bygone eras (eg no longer playing)…
Fritz Van Herden
Joel Stranksy
Josh Kronfeld
Waisale Serevi
And many many more. Who was the Fijian who came alongside Serevi? I forget his name?

I stand corrected. Still think he's worth a place high up on the overall list.
