We could go the other way and name outstanding overseas players from bygone eras (eg no longer playing)…

Fritz Van Herden
Joel Stranksy
Josh Kronfeld
Waisale Serevi

And many many more. Who was the Fijian who came alongside Serevi? I forget his name?

Hmmm, not sure Serevi was such a great signing, wildly talented... but a bit of a liability too.

Of the great names from overseas for me it starts and ends with Marcos Ayerza,
along with a wish that we could have witnessed Brad Thorne in a Leicester Shirt at the height of his powers.
Never forget though the great sides fashioned in the 70's and early 80's by Chalkie White that laid the foundations for greatness and all that has come since. In those days , we never had to scour far- flung shores we just checked out the local constabulary or near by farms ....
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

Surely Alesana Tuilagi has to be up for there. Newby and Hamilton were both instrumental to winning sides. Obviously Ayerza and Castro. Kayser and Dupuy were both great gents.
