Re: Change of Tune
I'm not for changing.
It would be like Liverpool FC loosing "You'll never Walk Alone" ....they had lean years.
However If we are pontificating how about keeping it local with KASABIAN - loops well.......

Re: Change of Tune
I'm with the Benny Hill thing. It could also replace the warm up. They could also come out in Morris dancing kit and beat the bejesus out of opposition players with their sticks as they went past.
Oh dear. Just noticed the last line. Shame.
Re: Change of Tune
I do think the chant/ song at Tigers is (as the Aussies would say) pretty ordinary. We are put to shame when many teams visit Welford Road and the handful of away fans produce much more inspiring vocal support. Particularly Welsh and Irish clubs. I have often brought visitors along to their first ever match and joke about teaching them the words to the Tigers song.

It is sad I know but it is very difficult to teach old tigers new tricks.RichieB wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 8:09 am I do think the chant/ song at Tigers is (as the Aussies would say) pretty ordinary. From time to time we have seen proposals for chants but I have yet to see one taken up by the crowd.

Semper in excretia
Re: Change of Tune
Personally, I have, at times, felt emotionally involved in both our song and our chant. But, only when the team's doing well.
When your kicking 7 bells out of the opposition (metaphorically speaking), anything will do!!

In response to our lack of Tiger ferocity, how about Tom Jones's "What's new pussycat - woe woe woe woe woe"?tigerssteve wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 8:00 am

Re: Change of Tune
An extended intro to Whole lotta Rosie would do very nicely indeed. Time it right for the run out, fit the tigers chant in, brilliant.

Look at my byline too!
I don’t want a change, but the start of « Kashmir » would do at a pinch!
