Reid deserves a start at 10 he was very good on Saturday.
Would personally start with Reffell at 7 or the remaining Curry could blow us out of the water
We seemed to manage Young and Willis last week who to me are more potent that t’other Curry.
Exactly so just think what they could do if they all played in their preferred positions
Agreed, but versatility is key and this season above all others is a good time to develop that.

Hardwick dropped, didn’t know White or Taufua were injured last week, maybe Murphy is protecting them? JVP is a good player, maybe Simmons isn’t up to full fitness yet to start. Nice to see Cole Captain and Batley on the bench. Just my initial thoughts. Great backline and that pack is still good.

No Faf de Klerk, van der Merwe, vans Rensburg, McGinty (with the USA maybe) and McGuigan (selected for Scotland).

"Sione Kalamafoni (concussion), Jordan Taufua (knee) and Ben White (shoulder) are ruled out of the match through injury.

The trio join Sam Aspland-Robinson (leg), Calum Green (face) and Guy Thompson (neck) on the injured list."

No mention of Hardwick though...hmmm

According to Tigers: "Omitted in Squad rotation, among others."

A relatively short turnaround, likely to be rubbish weather, so I think worth erring on the side of caution.

Good to see JVP get a start. Interesting that it’s ahead of Simmons. I wonder if that’s an early indication of the 9 roster for next season. Injury hasn’t been kind at all to Simmons’ development and prospects.

Good opportunity for some young uns to be blooded............
Never that keen on 6/2 split as leaves us very vulnerable should injuries start early in the 3/4's

Looking forward to it............

I'm always hopeful, but regretfully not optimistic about this game at all.

I shall watch from behind the back of the sofa as per usual!

No Faf is huge, or that midfield bowling ball van Rensburg. I wouldn't say I particularly fancy our chances still but that's a big boost.

We’ll see, the James brothers are class but the loss of Rohan Janse vans Rensburg will still be felt.

Thankfully, Simmons and McPhilips are both versatile players, Simmons can cover 9, 11, 14 + 15 whereas McPhilips can cover both 10 and 12.

Both sets of supporters claiming they have a weakened team and not expecting much.

Chap on the Sale forum says they bookies have them as 13 point favourites, which seems a bit excessive given the two teams are likely to be a bit dysfunctional and the crappy weather. Not saying we'll win of course. Just thinking Sale are more like 7/8 point favourites and we have a squeak.
