Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
Brink recently ruptured his achilles ruling him out for the season, he's also coming off the back of a cruciate re-build, so is certainly a risk if true. Know absolutely nothing on Mamukashvili but he seems to have a particularly strong beard game...

Mamukashvili is a decent signing IMO, Englands pack train against the gnarly Georgians for very good reasons!

You just beat me Happywomble
Backline possibilities:
Youngs, Ford, May, Tuilagi, Nadolo, Holmes & Veaunu, what a centre partnership that would be!

I wouldn’t start him at centre for us. I’d still go for Reid or Eastmond as they provide a different set of skills. Also you can’t just shove a big winger into centre, look how Savea player at 12 for Toulon!!!

To be fair Nadolo did play 12 for Fiji a fair few times, he was even their goalkicker and not a bad one at thatRichardfje wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 11:58 amI wouldn’t start him at centre for us. This backline is shaping up nicely...
9. Youngs
10. Bateman
11. Nadolo
12. Leatigaga
13. Tuilagi
14. Lavanini
15. Telusa - just to add a bit of bulk!
It's the backline Eddie Jones would choose!

I know you jest, but, Bateman has better hands than some 10s I've seen over the years!strawclearer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 12:05 pm This backline is shaping up nicely...

^^ This, my suggestion was slightly tongue in cheek, however against some teams it may work!kpj tiger wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 11:59 amTo be fair Nadolo did play 12 for Fiji a fair few times, he was even their goalkicker and not a bad one at thatRichardfje wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 11:58 amI wouldn’t start him at centre for us. Which we will never really know if we have. Maybe Tigers have spoken to both players but either they or the club decided against joining/signing.TigerMac3 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 9:28 am “Potentially letting both Iseikwe and Mills sign for rivals
What a ridiculous statement.“
Okay. Slightly poorly worded. But not ‘ridiculous’. These two, for me, are the kind of signings that for a club like ours should be priority. English qualified. Stand out performers week after week in the GP. On the edges of international recognition. Would add a huge amount of quality to what is an extremely flat, underperforming squad. We should be going all out for this type of addition, in my opinion.
Whilst not ‘letting both sign for rivals’ I sincerely hope that we’ve at least spoken with said players reps to sound out what it would take to bring them to WR
