As good as Dupont is, Serin is a seriously good understudy.

I do hope Dupont is fit, he makes the game worth watching on his own.

Looking at the fixtures this weekend, I was trying to think tactically. With France unbeaten so far and their wonderfully entertaining style against Wales, already down one and capable of stopping a grand slam, who do I support? But of course, the rugby equivalent of the Gordian knot came to my rescue, it’s obvious, ABW and let the other games look after themselves.

Allez les bleus!!
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Oui, Allez les Bleus! I’ve a feeling in my ol’ bones that we’re witnessing the renaissance of the French XV that could culminate in winning their 2023 World Cup!

Les Bleus for Cardiff:

15. Bouthier, 14. Thomas; 13. Vakatawa, 12. Vincent; 11. Fickou; 10. Ntamack, 9. Dupont; 7. Ollivon (cap), 8. Alldritt, 6. Cros; 5. Willemse, 4. Le Roux; 3. Haouas, 2. Marchand, 1. Baille

16. Chat, 17. Gros, 18. Bamba, 19. Taofifenua, 20. Cretin, 21. Serin, 22. Jalibert, 23. Ramos

Good to have Chat on the bench. Him and Marchand will be the French hookers for quite a few years.
One worry is the line out, which isn't as reliable as I would have liked. Willemse is a big lump and needs a forklift truck to get him off the ground. However, Taofifenua offers more and I hope gets more than 20 minutes or so.

Allez les Bleus!!

Who the hell is Cretin? I would have Tolofua over him, shame Poirot hasn't made the cut either but a good team who I hope will do the job over Wales.

I think le Roux, Cros and Ollivon are the lineout options.

Dylan Cretin (let's hope he doesn't live up to his surname come Saturday evening!) is a wing forward with Lyon and is there because I think there's a doubt about Tolofua's fitness.

I am really enjoying the Wales V France game. France under the defence guidance of Edwards are playing great. But Jonathan Davies needs to calm himself in commentary and be less biased. He was almost wetting his pants over the yellow card that never came in the corner. Poor. Also Bigger..ssshhh. Stop your chatting back. You are class and don’t need to.
There is never any points for 2nd place...

What a win for France, personally I think Willemse was a bit lucky but you get what you give. Biggar try had a forward pass in the buildup.
