So we are against Castres at home most likely.

Potentially Dragons, Edinburgh, Scarlets or Pau.

we needed 2 points to be certain
Im pretty sure we didn’t, 1 point would always have been enough due to our superior points difference over Castres (unless we got a 4T BP but lost today by about 40 points)

On the whole that was a decent run.
French sides never easy to beat at home.

Poor start, I was harsh on Simmons earlier, but he needs game time, but he is behind White at present who was good when he came on.
I think we will be without the England guys next week, agreed premiership release week, but with Tom Youngs, Lavanini, Green, Thompson, Eastmond, Taute, Olowefela Vieanu back in the mix, and valuable game time for the youngsters things are moving on an upward curve

Bordeaux and Toulon would overtake us if they get at least a point out of their games.

We are guaranteed above Castres though.

Home quarter. Castres likely, but could be Edinburgh, Scarlets or Pau again, I think.

TB was right!

Castres won their pool so they are fifth seeds, as we are 4th it will be Castres

It’s all down to the Wasps Bordeaux-Begles game now as to whether we finish 3rd or 4th. Finish 3rd we will be potentially home to Edinburgh, finish 4th we are home to Castres.

Either way it’s a home QF

Thought Simmons was OK considering his lack of game time. however full credit to White who looked pretty sharp and poached another important try. Just wish he'd forget about waving his arms and get the ball out!

That's how I read it, we have better Points diff to Castres so although Bordeaux and Toulon can pass us so we drop to 4th on the points difference element.

Could be wrong :smt017

As an aside, no sour grapes but I'd hope that something is done to Pau for the 'extra man' farce when their loosehead was binned.... I do not recall a resetting of the sinbin period clock so a clear advantage gained (whether it was just a minute or not).... dock points, forfeit result :smt002 :smt002

I don’t see how he can be.. look at the tables for yourself if you like. We are above Castres. End of story. Even the official Leicester Tigers website says it’s a home QF

We have the points difference on Toulon, so there's a small chance of 2nd seed.

4th is most likely, but if Bordeaux get nothing at Wasps were likely 3rd.
