What a player Ford is, so glad his new contract is already wrapped up.

Looks like he's been practising. Great skill for a flyhalf to just drop into the pocket and knock over 3. Keeps the pressure on the opposition.

Thought Hughes played alright, but struggle to see where he would fit in the squad with Aspland-Robinson signing an extension with the club. Especially with the rumours of maybe Lam joining too, surely there would be no room.

A win and pregression to the quarters?
A large one I think.
Cheers, Tigers all!

Impressive second half, great line speed, good defence lead by Reffell and a huge try saving tackle by Hughes. Lovely backs interplay by Olowafela and Veianu and some great game management by the ever dependable Ford. Huge win and a great way to continue the momentum.

Depends what happens with Thompstone I guess. Hughes is 26 but currently surplus to requirements up north and in need of revitalising his career. He'd be after about half of what Lam would require as well.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 5:08 pm Thought Hughes played alright, but struggle to see where he would fit in the squad with Aspland-Robinson signing an extension with the club. Through to the next round and some nice positives.
For me White is a decent player the ball is slow when the forwards give him slow ball other than that he has a quick accurate service and great support line for his try.
Hughes looked good, Batley showed some good signs, and some great inter passing among the forwards.
Heyes came back on strongly and Reffell stayed in the fight really well with a couple of good turnovers later on.
I’m still not sure about Lewis, he has the size but doesn’t seem physical. Same Coghlan looked better when Boladau came on.
All in all good day at the office against a decent Cardiff sidev

Thompstone on the way out? potentially May too, leaving only Holmes as a sure starter when fit with Olowofela and SAR as back upLeicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 5:08 pm Thought Hughes played alright, but struggle to see where he would fit in the squad with Aspland-Robinson signing an extension with the club. I would like to see Aspland Robinson as a 13 option, don’t think Worth isLeicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 5:08 pm Thought Hughes played alright, but struggle to see where he would fit in the squad with Aspland-Robinson signing an extension with the club. I guess Hughes main selling point is more his physicality, like Thompstone did before. They are both very aggressive in the tackle.
and whilst not the main selling point of a winger it's a good counterpoint.
