TV pictures showing the usual small groups, or factions, around the changing room at half time, no one getting in there and telling them what's required! :smt017

Will they improve on it by 2021?
No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Because if we play from our own half we risk getting turned over. Force Quins to play out and then force the mistakes either penalty or scrum (then penalty). You know the tactic that has resulted in about half dozen visits to the Quins 22. Now I agree with the poor attacking strategy. We're terrible there.

Eh? Our pack is doing fine. If we start using them properly this game is there for the taking.

Scrum is fine, line out maul is totally disorganised and why Tigers insist on a forward taking the all standing still and running straight at a defender I don't know.

The attack game plan is shockingly poor. I hope Borthwick brings in someone to replace Ford Snr.

One can only hope that those who should be getting in there and telling them know they're to be replaced by someone competent early in the new year and don't want to make things worse for them.

What do we pay Mike Ford for? To keep George Ford happy, no?

The thing that most annoys me is that we only offload when we're going backwards, which only compounds the situation. Every other team only offloads when they're going forwards. Also, Ben Youngs - I've always been a bit defensive of him, but what does he actually add to the team? When he first came into the first team it was all about his brilliant breaks and runs. When did he last do that? 2014? All he does now is slowly ship the ball on to a stationary "runner".
Andy W wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2019 5:23 pm I wasn't "blaming the ref", just observing that Tigers were starting to get on the wrong side of him. If that is ok.
I wasn't saying you were, just observing that some people are. Same comments every single match - ref is bias, only penalises Tigers, lets the other team get away with doing the same things. I actually agree with your comment.

What can he do when no-one is running on top the ball?

When I want someone to do something I usually ask them. Maybe he could try asking his teammates to run onto the ball. Crazy idea, I know, but it just might work.
