Don't understand the point of listing Eastmond. If he plays he will be either yellow or red carded, pull up lame after 15 minutes (and be out for months) miss tackles, ship the ball/responsibility on, have a shocker, or be just plain ineffectual.
Given all the talk about salary caps, squad depth, I'd far sooner see a keen youngster given the opportunity to develop. He is the absolute definition of 'the journeyman' player, raised on this forum so often. No surprise given his non-performances at his last club.

Surprised to hear that Reid is fit - spoke to Rory Underwood on the way back from Calvisano and he said he had a hamstring problem and would be having a scan this week. Taute would be my selection - No way would I select Eastmond, even on the bench.

Agree with the sentiments about KE.. I’d go for Taute personally and as he was preferred vs Saints I’d imagine he might get the nod.
Agree too that KE has done nothing for us but the management always seem to select him so that is the team I think we might see not my personal choice. Would prefer to see Taute or Reid every day of the week tbh

I'm sure Polota-Nau is still not fit. Taute to start!
Well Ford Snr is perhaps trying his best to recreate the Ford/Eastmond combo from 14/15, which you cannot blame him for doing so but we need to reward form and I think Taute should be the preferred option for inside centre on Saturday.

I'm more nervous about this one than I've been since the world cup, such potential to get absolutely walloped. Equally it's a big game at home so you'd hope the players would rise to the occasion.

I can't stand listening to that wailing!
A large number of Exeter fans are completely fed up with the 'Tomahawk chop". Most of my sister and brother's mates (fans from way back before Sandy Park) are at the ' shut up' stage with it. It is perhaps Chiefs Ultras that keep doing it!

Previous Prem results against Exeter haven’t been good but as mentioned above it’s such a pivotal home game that I’m naively confident that our first class (on paper at least) starting 15 will step up and show us what they can do..
Tigers by 2, an 80 minute nail biter that will show that there is a faint flicker of light at the end of the tunnel

Thank goodness someone agrees with me.
Young Strawclearer and I usually avoid the Chiefs' fixture because of this dirge. Making an exception because it's the Christmas fixture but sincerely hoping our XV shut them up!
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO
