At some point surely the members of the rugby committee, board and coaching team have to recognize that for the good of the club they have to step down.
Nah... Santa doesn't exist.

well one of them is too busy on TV acting like he has no involvement with running the club, no shock that neither Ben nor Austin are being critical of Murphythebearisstilldeano wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 4:58 pm At some point surely the members of the rugby committee, board and coaching team have to recognize that for the good of the club they have to step down.

Re: Exeter Chiefs 21st December
I have a couple of observations and a question.
Brilliant first half, awful second. At half time, Chiefs dressing room everyone is sat around listening to Baxter, you can tell he's in charge, Tigers dressing room different people are having little conversations, no togetherness, no indication who the leader is. Not terribly surprising that Chiefs looked like the more cohesive team in the second half whilst Tigers all went back to doing their own thing individually.
The first half showed what these players are capable of, the second half showed why they are where they are in the table. The weather conditions should have made it easier to defend a lead, as Chiefs proved for the last 15 minutes.
Anyone know what Murphy was bickering about with spectators?

Re: Exeter Chiefs 21st December
Murphy arguing with the crowd shows how inept and unsuitable he is as a coach for Tigers, he has neither the talent or intellect for the job. What has he got on the BOD that enables him to keep the job.

Well Ben said it was only a matter of confidence ... win 2 or 3 matches and everything will be ok

Re: Exeter Chiefs 21st December
I still remember the good old days. Long gone now, but will return. I cannot understand how we can get 3 tries in the first half and be so bad in the second. Hopefully I am not the only one who is clueless.
However, Happy Christmas everyone.

I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

Wasps did lose but got a LBP. Sarries 5 points closer too, only 17 behind

Yep
Pretty much everything Ben Kay says now annoys me. If he's not contributing to the solution he's part of the problem.

Very, very disappointing. First half good but can not be used to disguise another pitiful second-half performance. No doubt we will hear the usual stuff about encouraging signs but we have heard it before. What we want is an 80 min performance with no stupid errors.

They did at least get a point though. Today was new levels of disappointment, we got beat by the Chiefs bench even with half their first team rested or injured.
Re: Exeter Chiefs 21st December
Saracens are now only 17 points behind us. Wasps get a losing bonus point.
Yes, we played out of our skins in the first half, but this was a pathetic end to the match. Where was the intensity to force a losing bonus point?
Geordans team looks great on the front foot, but when things start to turn against us he has no clue on how to turn it around.

What was wrong with that? The top two inches. The six inches between the ears. Everything that Exeter had in spades when they were down Tigers lacked when the roles were reversed. Clear thinking, confidence, yes.....and a little cheating all came into play and the Tigers will disintegrated.
There are individual sparks of brilliance and courage, but there are also brainfarts which cost the game, never mind poor and tardy substitutions.
Poor thinking and the apparent headless chickenism comes from poor coaching.
T-CUP. Thinking clearly under pressure. Where did that come from? A good coach. No. A top class coach. We need that now! Otherwise it's relegation time. I'm so disappointed tonight. From that performance it's clear what the issues are.

Still only 2 points ahead.CitizenSmiff wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 5:05 pmThey did at least get a point though. Today was new levels of disappointment, we got beat by the Chiefs bench even with half their first team rested or injured.
Played against struggling Quins compared to Exeter.
Next week will be a big one
Quins at Twickenham is target-able if we can build on todays first half.
Wasps have Bristol away.

Losing the second half 17-0 is absolutely inexcusable, utter shambles in every aspect
