Why did Thompson try the offload? Same as against London Irish, let’s nail the basics first and kick out to reset.

Pass out to their huge wing and he causes utter devastation and few passes later Saints try. Not sure what we can do about it. This has a nasty sense of us needing to hold it together and not concede again for 10 mins!

That second try was all down to (apart from the bulldozer Naiyaravoro) un-coordinated double tackles. If two players are making the tackle, one needs to go high and one low. 2/3 times at the end of that move both tacklers went low, resulting in an easy offload and an overlap.

Defensive basics.

Where is the attacking structure after first phase? Just offering no pattern and getting isolated!

Their fullback gets scrappy messy ball and scythes through 3 players. We get scrappy ball and go no where. Just seems no attacking intent or plan. Need something before halftime.
And by something I meant us, not them.

A bunch of individuals trying to do individual things against a team doing the team thing.

Unorganised Vs Organised. Ineffective Vs Effective.

Glimpses of very good then fall back to utter rubbish.

C'Mon lads, we can be so much better.

Okay, maybe not....we turned attack into (failing) defence very well.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.
