This weekend in Europe

Post by Mark62 »

Saracens currently beating Ospreys comfortably. Neither side at full strength Daley showing his class with 2 try assists and a long range penalty.
Strange atmosphere at Saracens very up and down, though could be to do with building works.
Nigel Wray gets a round of applause when appears on the screen. IMO incredible considering he has presided over one of the biggest scandals in rugby history

Meanwhile in Treviso Saints are losing 25-15 unsure what team they have sent.

Connacht winning narrowly in Toulouse

sarries fans will be terrified of him potentially resigning or something so will want to make him feel as loved as possible.
Because if he goes who knows what will happen to the club.

That's an obliteration of Ospreys by Sarries.

Ben Earl has looked every bit an England player this season.

Isiekwe and Lozowski should be top of Tigers radar for next season. Both out of contract and both absolutely fantastic players who cover multiple positions.

Saints look very good. Were like grease lighting in attack. Fully deserved to win. Fronted up and didn’t buckle when they were down.
There is never any points for 2nd place...

Be interesting to see what happens with Goode too, in or out of contract, though with Williams moving to Ospreys there should be room for him and Daley

In the end comfortable wins at home for Saracens and Toulouse and a narrow win at Treviso for Saints, which is a good result having been badly down and Treviso are a decent side

Don't know about Saints fully deserving the win got the rub of the green on a few calls in that final 10 minutes.

Good game though.

With back to back fixtures against Leinster after Tigers their team sheet will make interesting reading in terms of where their priorities lie

Just seen Saints final try RB definitely a block on the Treviso chaser in the lead up shouldn’t have been given, awful officiating

Fully agree, also Saints forward passes not punished all game. Treviso robbed.

I’m pleased with the win +bp for Toulouse and was impressed with Karl Dickson’s refereeing. Surely it won’t be long before he’s an international referee.

Agreed another example of an ex player doing well.
Ex tiger Frank Murphy on the whistle for Quins v Barf another excellent up and coming ref

Sale look much improved against La Rochelle, if not particularly on the score line. Pretty good mix of club veterans, young talent and South African imports.

La Rochelle coaching team will be sacked by the end of season I reckon. O'Gara will then most likely get an assistant job in Ireland.
