Hasn't Taufua just announced he may be available for Samoa?

That won't affect us during the 6 nations though.

Haven’t seen that but he did decline their advances prior to the World Cuphappywomble wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 3:59 pm Hasn't Taufua just announced he may be available for Samoa?

The conundrum is whether you achieve better balance with Johnny May + his EPS salary cap credits or with a non-international like Ben Lam.
May's cap credits give you more to invest in his back-up in the squad, but then Lam isn't away for the 6N so you require less from that back-up.
Tricky.

Will affect us for four weeks in the Autumn which is less of an issue than missing for the Six Nations.happywomble wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 3:59 pm Hasn't Taufua just announced he may be available for Samoa?
Formerly of Burbaaage (not Inkleh), now up north at uni

Getting the chance to play international rugby might even help him re-sign down the line. His impact has been huge.JP14 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 6:05 pmWill affect us for four weeks in the Autumn which is less of an issue than missing for the Six Nations.happywomble wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 3:59 pm Hasn't Taufua just announced he may be available for Samoa?

As for wingers, I'd love the club to target Malins as a fullback and look to use Veainu on the wing more.
TV is excellent fullback as well as wing but talents like Malins aren't available often. Freddie Steward and Malins battling for the 15 shirt in a year or two would be exactly the breath of fresh air this squad needs.

Is May really going? Or are we at speculation stage? Apologies if I have missed the announcement.

Speculation at this stage. It has been reported that we've made him an offer but at reduced terms. He's understood to be unhappy and the rumours are that he's going to be heading back to Gloucester.

With Sam Costelow being named in the Welsh under 20s does that add weight to the Zack Henry rumour

Not sure why it would.

I read it was possibly an immediate move, and with Ford away with England it stretches our resources at 10

I believe it’s for next season.
If needs be we can keep Costelow from the U20’s.

Heard from a Worcester fan that Singleton has a release clause and Warriors won't have room with Taufete'ee, Annett, Moulds and Miller.
Hooker is a problem position and Singleton would be an ideal signing with Youngs and Polota-Nau coming out of contract.
