Interesting, a 10.00 announcement. More to come?
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

So of the 2017/18 group of 5 - Gough, Lavin and Smith are the first to recommit.
Wonder if Jordan and Lines have longer deals? or what.

Interesting that Glasgow sign Pieretto Argentine Tighthead from Exeter.
Guessing Cortes isn't joining them long term.

It was confirmed by Tigers twitter account that Capps has been bought in as LH option, so a bit of squad juggling there. An older, and possibly more expensive salary TH who’s not being used, replaced by a younger, cheaper LH. Based on Genge being away with England...
LH - Gigena, Bateman, Capps
TH - Cole, Leatigaga, Heyes

Only loan and I hope unless he really impresses we look elsewhere if we are after a LH.

Gigena unavailable for the foreseeable future as he heads back to Argentina to renew his visa
Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2
Unusually transparent from the club...
I give Gigena all the best in renewing his visa as quickly as possible.

James Whitecombe has been name checked by Murphy, is he ready for senior rugby?

IMO no.
But I guess you have nothing to lose in these games.

Didn't Gigena arrive in the middle of the season which would suggest why work permit would expire in the middle?
Think the transparency is good, makes a change (be good if it spreads to other matters) & a subtle dig at Sarries.
Not great timing but if everyone else is fit, not the end of the world.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

on current form Gigena had to be pretty close to displacing Bateman.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 6:20 am Didn't Gigena arrive in the middle of the season which would suggest why work permit would expire in the middle?

Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

Newcastle are apparently not wanting Jonny May to have to take a pay cut
