Very disappointing, but what can we do?

My previous post seems to have done a disappearing act.
There can't be many (if any) successful clubs that can lay claim to losing rising talent like Costelow and Umaga.
On a side note I noticed that Purdy scored for Bristol today, I had no idea that he was there.

He's a good player, but has injury problems which I guess is the main reason he had to go into the champ.

Singleton in at 2 (perhaps)
Lam in at 11 (perhaps) assuming May is off

Need to strengthen our squad if we stand any hope of competing next season. These are the areas I think we will need to look at as a starter for 10...

Veianu to the wing with Worth or Steward at 15 is another option, Eastmond or Reid would be at 12

Add in Montoya and Alemanno and you have the makings of a really good pack. Liebenberg and Taufua on the flanks, hoping Thompson stays around for off the bench.

Imagine Youngs will stay. Agreed that neither Eastmond or Reid have nailed down the 12 shirt. Maybe Hardwick will next season because I can’t imagine us recruiting anymore centres.

Well the centres Reid, Viljoen, Taute and Eastmond will be here next season so cannot see any change in those positions.
No 1 hooker slot will always be Youngs and I doubt he will retire anytime soon.
Looks like White and Simmons shall be the 9s.
If May goes I believe we need to recruit a rapid heavy duty physical unit as his replacement.

Montoya and Alemanno are both contracted until the end of international duty in 2020 so both could be available. That would be some good recruitment.

I think Ben will stay but there are rumours Tom will retire to his family and the farm. Would allow us to invest in another younger option like Woolstencroft and save money overall on our hookers.

Really not sure why there would be much interest from other prem clubs in taking Sarries players on 1 year loans

Rumours Lyon have offered to take the Vunipolas on loan. It would the most advantageous thing for Sarries. They'll want to retain most of their internationals for when they come back up. No value in having Singleton for one season for us though, he's good but has the potential to be great. Ideally need him on a three year deal.

I agree.
The only ones I can see is being a stop gap for a player who isn't out of contract till 21/22 season.

Honestly with Costelow going, Tigers should try and go all out for Malins at 10 if he hasn't contracted himself to another club already.
