I was thinking this morning I feel really sorry for Singleton, this move must have been a dream when the contracts were signed and it's turned into a nightmare. It would be great if we can offer him another chance and he'd certainly be a step up on TPN.

Be an excellent move with TPN likely to be off and Tom Youngs coming to the end of his career.
Wouldn’t loose him much either with both George and Cowan Dickie relatively young

Goodey tweeting that Griffiths has been acting as a player agent without a licence!

Yes I saw that! Looks like I inadvertently put this on the wrong thread.... doh

Goodey trading insults for attention again!
Don't get him started on Brexit!

He is a Sarries fan and moving back to Sarries allowed him to move closer to home. Not a given he'd want to give that up. Having said that he signed before international recognition so if he has got a get out clause he could get himself a nice payrise.

He must be considering it, for his possible international future, the same thing might arise with Reffell as well, he seems well thought off, but in a rather competitive position.longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 10:35 am The Mail on Sunday are reporting that Costellow is considering a move to the Scarlets
To win is not as important as playing with style!

It's pretty obvious that Wales are targeting Walsh qualified players at premiership clubs pretty aggressively.
Look at their 6N's squad is Rowlands, willgriff john and Owen Williams really playing international standard ATM?
They have the money from CVC, and are targeting players and using wales as the carrot.
Cardiff tried to sign Joe Heyes for example.
Personally if Costelow wants to stay and we want to keep him we need to offer him a 5 year senior contract (Basically what Gloucester are doing with LRZ) same with Reffell.

Agreed if we rate them then tie them down. Chiefs have been savvy and got Francis on a rolling contract. As you say Glaws have moved quickly to ensure the new speedster on the block is going nowhere. We need to be proactive.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 1:05 pm It's pretty obvious that Wales are targeting Walsh qualified players at premiership clubs pretty aggressively.

But TBF to the club LRZ and the Curry twins are all starters.
Costelow is extremely talented but he isn't going to be ahead of Ford currently.
I don't know what offer the scarlets are putting but he could really be starting for them next season IMO.

at best Costelow is 3rd choice and realisticly he's more like 5th, would it make sense to spend (relatively) heavily on him when we already have Ford, Hardwick, Reid, McPhillips that are senior 10s?RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 1:57 pm But TBF to the club LRZ and the Curry twins are all starters.
