We may accuse the Club of all sorts, however lying is not amongst those:https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/gengerecommits2020

Great start to the New Year with equally good news to come if other posters are right and I see no reason to doubt them.

Whatever we on here may think about the coaching set up, Geordan has clearly convinced Ellis and others that it's worth staying at Tigers and creating their own history. Long may it continue. As a much missed regular contributor to this forum used to say:

Interesting to note Worth's quote that leaving would be a Failure, that is a very telling fact about him I would say, we need more of that type of attitude through the squad.
It is becoming obvious that a large selection of the playing squad buy into GM's vision, we just need to show some signs of heading towards it.
The only thing we haven't changed through this recent mess is the team captain...….
To win is not as important as playing with style!

I'd love to know what this 'vision' of Murphys is, it comes up a lot but its been a year and no great works of philosophy are forthcoming. Great news re: Ellis but let's be pragmatic, he re-signed because we offered him more money than anybody else did.

I suspect Ellis got offered a lot of money from a lot of places. The long held view on Murphy is that he knows how the club should be run and so keeping him is good for us. His limitation is that he isn't adept at getting it right on game day so that the position of head coach is the wrong one for him. Moving Murphy upstairs and bringing Borthwick in as head coach would appear to be a good move, let's hope it works out like that.

Let’s remember players have one career money may be a factor in re-signing but if your an international you want to win things...

Leicester in the 00’s was built on word class players taking pay cuts because they wanted to be in the best team in Europe

Clearly Genge and Ford must see something about the club culture that they love as no one wants to be fighting relegation one week and playing for England the next

I don’t think Borthwick is going to be announced today.

Well that was a good call by The Dr!!! Great PR by the club for the start of the year. All 100% positive. I think I was over doing it with the Borthwick guess...however, would these players stay if they didn’t know something was going on???
There is never any points for 2nd place...

He can’t be. He is on three months’ notice with England (or six months depending on where you read) and very recently the RFU Big Boss has stated categorically that he has not received his resignation.
