Happy with this but not with relegation get out clause as would want players to show commitment to get us straight back up if we did go down
The particular clause may be the only way that we can get Ellis and others to put pen to paper right now.Like football , the 'prviso' clause is becoming more popular and accepted and can work for both club and player.
Also, the exact nature of any prospective clause may not be set in stone. The ability to talk to a prospective suitor or possibly go out on loan can differ from automatically binning a contract should the worst happen.
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....
Its the Club that has led us to this desperate juncture and ultimately relegation. do not blame Genge or indeed any of our other players for securing a get out of jail free card I blame the Board and their attrocius failure.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Genge has responded to this on Twitter saying he hasn't signed anything, personally I think he is just being a devil's advocate and I think will re-sign just hasn't pen to paper yet.

I don't think you'll get him (or any of our other top players, for that matter) to re-sign without that clause. To be fair, there's no way a player of Ellis' talent should be playing in the second tier. I'd imagine it'll be like Newcastle with Hammersley, Wilson etc whereby Genge and our other England internationals will go out on loan to a top flight club for a year.
When you think about it, what a damning indictment it is that we're talking about this as a highly likely scenario.
Murphy tight-lipped on Ellis Genge after speculation he has signed at Tigers. It appears we are likely to hear on his, and other England internationals’ futures tomorrow.

As an England international would you sign a contract to stay with a team that has potential to get relegated? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Worth also
Worth is quoted as saying 'A lot has gone on at the club over the past few years and now, with the stability that has taken place in coaches and the playing group, it seems to me that with that stability, I have a responsibility to be a part of trying to put things right.'
