First few conversion kicks where very hard.
An annoying loss.

Subs won it for Saints.
Defence started generally well, discipline in the line cost us the first try.
Not sure in a normal game Tigers would push so many subs at once.

Reid is a class act but his kicking is a bit shaky connection wise, would've liked to see
10. Hardwick
12. Reid
At some point.

Shame about Reffell not coming back.

Also was there any TMO cause saints made at least 7 high tackles that game.

Would like to see first game
1. Bateman
2. Youngs
3. Heyes
4. Spencer
5. Green
6. Liebenberg
7. Reffell
8. Thompson
9. White
10. Reid
11. Olowofela
12. Eastmond
13. Forsyth
14. Thompstone
15. Holmes

16. Kerr
17. Gigena
18. Cortes
19. Green
20. Boladau
21. Simmons
22. Hardwick
23. Worth

Conversions were tough but the penalty should have been a gimme.
Poor pass gifted stains a try too.
The rest of the time he was great.....

Not having a regular dog sitter has benefited our mental health. Just get depressed by the score and the 'highlights' unlike being full-on emotional wrecks trying to drive home in the dark. I really miss the atmosphere and our fellow fans, but not the rugby served up for the lat two years or more. Still, we will be attending from about Xmas as Tigers battle to get into the top 6. :smt009

A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

It wasn’t poor rugby to be fair. In fact, I think we played better, tough loss to take but not the :censored: we put out last season.

Although Saints won, I think Tigers on balance the stronger side with fixable albeit in today’s case terminal (in respect of what caused the loss) problems. White looked generally good I thought.

Reid's distribution is just poetry at times. The two passes off his left hand against Exeter were sublime but the one today to Jonah for his first score was a lovely read of what was in front of him and perfect execution.

Losing Reffell was a blow and didn't help us slowing down their ball. Boladau looked good when he came on with a few bits of nifty play in attack.

Loved how Jonah burned Olowofela for his two tries. Excellent finishes

I would agree with most of that from where I was sitting. Just a pity about the missed kicks. That we should have buried Saints makes it disappointing.

Disappointing that we didn’t get the win, ref wasn’t good surprise surprise but at least we are scoring tries.

Hope for a win against Worcester next weekend, they deserve a good pummelling.

Interesting comment. The ref is an ex tiger, you wonder sometimes if there is an over compensation.
Sir Ridley is supposedly one of the up and comers

Yes an interesting point, surely a conflict of interest for both sides if he plays?

It must be massively difficult to ref a game these days as a rookie, at that level, without the safety blanket of a TMO looking specifically for things like high tackles

TMO has arguably become important than the assistant refs in the professional game
