He has been the bedrock of that Saracens side, over paying players or not.

Frankly, there has been so much speculation in the media, and on message boards for several months, it is really about time that we had some sort of definitive statement from the club. Maybe I have missed this, but I don’t think the club have confirmed he is even joining the club, let alone what role and when?

Watching Cohen mooching around the ground before the game yesterday you would have to draw a conclusion that he has the world on his shoulders!
I guess he knows something we poor mortals don't :smt023

God help us if it’s Sanderson.

It would be nice to have an announcement and some certainty. What worries me are the possibilities that either Borthwick isn't coming and neither is anyone else, or he's only coming as a forwards coach.

Why would you want to waste money taking Cohen to an away fixture like this if, as he says, he is not responsible for the rugby side of the business?

Felt like asking him that, to be honest, as I watched him collect his hospitality tickets!

Just there for a free ride! Or could he have been there to sign some of the Calisano players? :smt017

I don't think it's out of order to send somebody along with no on-pitch responsibilities, to handle the shmoozing and niceties. Allows the coaches to focus entirely on the rugby. I'd hate to see what happens if they get distracted.

Even him coming as a forwards coach would be a good start.

I can just imagine the criticism if he didn't go to these matches...

I think it’s unfair to criticise Cohen on this, supporting the lads whilst have a nice weekend break to the boot of Europe, why wouldn’t he do anything else.

"While it is believed Borthwick is strongly considering leaving the RFU, Sweeney said the former captain has yet to hand in his notice, and is expecting him to resume his role for the Six Nations, with England's opener against France in Paris on 2 February."

Just read this in BBC news, was on the app so don't think I can post a link.

I'd have thought Tigers would be a step down for him after England so I'm not sure why he would want to come (unless he's been made an offer he can't refuse).
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
