England team v Tonga

Post by Mark62 »

Just about full strength 23 named by Eddie for Tonga.
Posses a few questions, Will every one get a run out in the first 2 games, Nowell and Mako especially.
Will Francis start at 10 against America and if so just what did Cipriani do to :censored: Eddie off

Interesting that 3 of the big nations are all starting with 2 open side flankers

Was always going to play the strongest team today with the mixed veg v USA. Looking forward to it immensely, the Tongans take no prisoners but will tire and fall apart around 60 minutes, let's just hope we get out injury free!

What about the high tackles around the disallowed England try and also on Manu for England's try. No mention by commentators or officials

That would have been a red for Kalamafoni last season. Brilliant officiating

Poor, but it's a win. Slade's just played himself out of our best XV now too , possibly out the 23.

so was I the only one who thought it should have been a penalty try for the Underhill disallowed try? Seat belt tackle prevented him scoring

Nope, I thought the same. If the arm hadn't been over the shoulder and into the neck the ball would have been grounded fine. There was also the same for Manu's try IMO.
