Good result Falcons beat Wasps 42-24 the other week.
Finish the new year top of their group with 13 points and 7 points ahead of 2nd place
Impressive keeping a team that put 40+ on the board the other week to nil. Nice to see the academy still staying strong this season. Hopefully there's a centre on the way through.

I noticed Smith was kicking the conversions yesterday, didn't he play 15 last season? Is he then a pacey footballing style centre sort of what we were hoping when we got Viljoen (without the obvious size advantage or EWV).

I think it's 17 games
15 wins
2 draws (1 was because of weather stopping the game v Worcester last season)

Last 3 seasons we are in the league
503 Points for, 72 tries scored
171 points against, 24 tries conceded

I've been impressed with this group considering how many players moved on from last years group, none of the starting backline in last years final are in the academy group now and only Ilione and Vanes in the forwards.

Also bodes well for Matt Smiths coaching abilities. Yes, maybe he inherited a good nucleus but it still needs following up!

Contracts wise i could see
Hooker: Vanes
Prop: Rowntree
Lock: Singer
Back Row: Smith, Muncaster, Ilione
Scrum Half: Edwards
Centre: Smith, Potts
Wing: Lugsden

getting contracts at least.
