Re: Leicester Tigers Academy thread - 2019/20
Game ends 31-22
Worcester with a late surge gets the TBP.
Tigers finish the league at 1st place with 1 game left against Wasps.
We will likely be playing either
London Irish on 22 points
or
Saracens on 15 points (But have 2 games to play to Irish's 1)
In the grand final

Reckon 450 people watched the game today at Welford road, good attendance for a academy game.

Think I saw somewhere that the U18's lost last night against Cov U18's, is that true?

Re: Leicester Tigers Academy thread - 2019/20
If it's like the other times we play championship teams academies it tends to be more our U16/17's v their U18's plus a couple U19's.
Like the game against Nottingham academy a couple seasons ago, were we lost.
The championship have a couple of good academies set ups IMO, and should be included more.
Would help with players getting slipped through the net more at U16 level

Looking at the pictures from the game on twitter.
Not sure I have seen that kit before.
Looked more like DPP kit than anything else.

Team for Tigers final game of the season v Wasps at Aylesbury Saturday 1pm.
Leicester Tigers Academy XV: O Henry Joule, N Harry Sturmey, M Jack Taylor, L Billy Hull (c), K Josh Lugsden, J Jack Vernum, I Jed Gelderbloom; A Lynx Noumey, B Joe Plunkett, C Tim Hoyt, D Callum Oakden, E Phil Tandoh, F Ben Muncaster, H Jordan Tebbatt, G Bobby Singer

With first place secured Tigers have done a lot of rotation and playing a more younger team than in the other games.

I have attended previous finals days at Allianz Park, it is a blooming good day out, three matches between the top three of each conference to decide top rankings, great to see the skill levels of these possible stars of the future. Admittance has always been free as gas parking, obviously it may be different at Sixways but if there is a cost I am sure you will think it worth it even if Tigers don't win you will have seen three good games. See you there.

The young Tigers down 17 -3 in 16 minutes.
17-8 - 27 minutes gone.
Try Jordan Tebbatt
Pen Vernum
and another try
To make it
17-15 on the stroke of half time

Lost 34 - 20
sounds like we suffered in the first 15minutes of each half then came back.

Apart from momentum, nothing too much conceded in the scheme of things. We have players missing for England U18s too.
Formerly of Burbaaage (not Inkleh), now up north at uni

Enjoyable game, Tigers team on the whole looked younger than the Wasps side who tackled and defended very well, they were the better team on the day. Both sides were fully committed and showed some good skills, I am looking forward to next weeks finals, anyone who loves our game should enjoy seeing so many youngsters displaying so much skill and enthusiasm, most will never play in the Premiership, just a few will but all will be trying their hardest to achieve their dream. It will be a good day out!

Just turn up, I think games will kick off at 12 noon. 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm, our game should be the last one. When the event was held at Allianz Park in previous years there has been no charge and parking was free as well, food and drink were available at reasonable prices, (Worcester always good in this department). I am sure you will think it worth the effort of making the trip.
