The conspiracy theorist in me says that Gustard and Borthwick are being sent out to club rugby to get more experience before coming back to take the England job. Thoughts?
That would mean forward thinking/planning by the old farts, not sure they're capable of that! :smt017 :smt044
It might not be RFU forward thinking it might be the coaches have been told that the job description for Eddie Jones's successor includes experience of being a head coach in the AP. If that's the case Gustard's move makes sense and so does the Borthwick rumours.
