The facilities didn't stop it!
That being the only deciding factor? There's teams at that level who have wealthy backers who are happy to pay their first teams. Having the facilities and experts they do is probably helping level the playing field.

I suppose the difference is that Loughborough's world wide reputation for elite performance across a range of sports means that their sole focus isn't on producing professional rugby players. In contrast, the sole focus for Tigers is rugby, and we haven't even been very good at that recently.

In terms of its area of expertise, Sport & Engineering Technology, Loughborough is as good as anywhere in the world. Tigers, aren't even the best rugby team in the East Midlands. My comment wasn't meant as a slight. It's just the reality of the two institutions. But lots to work together on.

The rumour-mill is suggesting his destination may be the Stoop....

Tigers twitter has confirmed more signings are coming.
Not that it makes much difference when it's announced though I guess.

I would say there is a 95% chance Tigers will sign someone not yet mentioned by anyone currently.

Looking at the squad I hope it's a 12!

Thought we’re pretty well stocked at centre. Reid and Eastmond play there plus Taute and Manu can cover 12. Thomas and Viljoen play 13.

Still wouldn’t mind us bringing in another lock. Someone with maybe a bit of experience in the forwards.

Wouldn’t be adverse to a unit on the wing either, Goneva sort of signing.
