Was this little triple announcement what Strawclearer was alluding to, or is there something else in the background maybe...?
Still wouldn’t mind seeing Blommetjies join, plus maybe a couple of raw but imposing projects at Lock, 6/7 and wing.
Tie up a couple of new coaches, and we’re getting somewhere.

Not overly excited about the 12s , all squad cover for me.RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 4:04 pm Tigers sign 22 year old 10 Johnny McPhillips from Ulster.
Fills the Joe Ford hole.
Guess our Senior squad + Development squad looks 10, 12, 13 looks like
10 Ford, McPhillips, Costelow
12 Reid, Eastmond, Hardwick
13 Manu, Taute. Thomas
With potentially Ew Viljeon filling the Tait versatile role 13, Wing and 15.

Players outside of Viljoen, Coghlan & Liebenberg?
Or new coaches?
No names required obviously.

You could play Taute at 12 but it would have to be with a second playmaker at 15Dangerous4 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 1:18 pm+1. You beat me to it. Would like to see Worth as a playmaker 15.
Really impressed me at 15 last season when he played.
On a bigger name at 12 and also on the amount of players people still expect us to sign, you have to be realistic on how much cap there is to spend.
A big name 12 would most likely come at the expense of Lavaini or Taufua.
On top of that most International 12's about are from countries that will pick them for international games.
We had 16 leavers only Toomua was a big money player.
This season coming up I think we have 5/6 players who earn £300,000 + coming out of contract.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD
Can’t see anymore centre or 10’s coming in. Think it’ll be something like
10. Ford, Hardwick, McPhillips
12. Reid, Taute, Eastmond
13. Tuilagi, Viljoen, Thomas
15. Veianu, Worth, maybe Blommetjies if Scarlets want rid.
Think that gives us sufficient depth and quality. Lose a bit of craft with Taute at 12, but gain some physicality if you’ve got a more rangy 13 and not Tuilagi. At 15, Worth definitely has the Alex Goode’esque second pivot about him, obviously not at they level as it stands, but stylistically as a 15 he’s heads up.

Let's hope these new players go well and the coaches get the best out of them whoever they may be. I'm sick to death already of skimming around sites seeing posters ask who's going down LI,Wuss or us? It's embarrassing and the fixtures arnt even out yet! What's happened to our great club?!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD
Remember when people were saying the same about Harlequins and Saints last off season, I think people should be a bit more optimistic about next season, player wise we've recruited the best in a long while (especially considering how much cap was actually available), coaching will also be better next season even if there aren't many changes due to actually having a preseason.Scott1 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 8:06 pm Let's hope these new players go well and the coaches get the best out of them whoever they may be. Do I think we will win the prem next season? No. Do I think we could easily finish top 6 or even top 4? Yes
