They pay the money, they can put their name on the shirt.

Re: New Kit
I’m not loving it to be honest. Looks ok but I’m not sure about diagonal stripes. I may be won over though.
Re: New Kit
It’s what it is, diagonal stripes in traditional colours think it will look good.
Not sure what not sure about Topps tiles means they’re the new sponsor so they’re name is on the shirt.

Re: New Kit
I agree it’s unique, we’ve never had stripes diagonally before.
However I’m not sold on it, maybe a lot better in the flesh
Hoping the quality is much better, and the away kit otherwise a bit of a damp squib

Re: New Kit
It looks okay but need to see it in the flesh before I decide as to whether I’ll purchase it.

Re: New Kit
Not overwhelmed but not underwhelmed either, perhaps I am just whelmed. Will look better seeing it on the players.
Re: New Kit
Hopefully Bondi & co will wear it on LTTV on Friday.

Re: New Kit
Had a few looks now and reckon it'll look good on players.
Thought the topps tiles logo was on a blue background at first but it's grey so won't be too noticeable.
Can't wait for 7 o'clock!

Re: New Kit
Whitecap maybe because we are a cut above the rest?
Re: New Kit
Maybe people were expecting earth moving, it’s club colours, different design, nothing to dislike, Topps tiles have paid the money, they aren’t going to put marks and Spencer on the front.

Re: New Kit
I bet if people try hard they could be positive, the name on the shirt is less important than the amount of money the sponsor pays to be there. Our home shirt was always going to be green with red and white contrasts. There are only so many things a manufacturer can do, our most popular home shirt was the one with wavy stripes and a bib, I hated it but it sold well. These diagonal stripes look ok, if the quality and sizing are good I will buy one or at least drop the necessary hints around my birthday time, 11th November if people are taking notes!
Re: New Kit
I like the shirt a lot. I think the ‘club first’ is a bit of a dig really given the current climate.
Re: New Kit
I think it’s absolutely fine. Different. Modern. Will I buy one? No. I haven’t since they stopped producing cotton type shirts. I just don’t like the polyester or whatever feel of the replicas as everyday wear. A nice polo shirt would do me fine.
What means more to me is what is inside the shirt.

Re: New Kit
The biggest plus about normal stipes is that Sponsors tended to be easily fitted into the design.
