Somebody on the Tigers facebook group was suggesting that it could be legal action, apparently RIL had been threatened with it before for posting unsubstantiated rumours

I wonder if the leaks have taken the shine off it? there was mention of one? that couldn't be announced for contract reasons?

Lovely rumours to log on to there! Jantjies would be a massive upgrade on J Ford and conceivably within our price range if we're paying right up to the cap. I don't know a lot about Mapoe but from his highlight reel he looks like a solidly built winger/centre with some decent finishing skills.

Interestingly both Mapoe and Jantjes contracts are up,they only signed one year extensions which are up end of this SR season.

Securing an early release Blommetjies to join our (potentially) growing South African contingent. Mapoe is an odd one, if we’ve already got Reid, Taute, Tuilagi, Eastmond and Viljoen? Do we need a 6th senior centre?
Likewise, Jantjes, that’d be a big shift in salary outlay as a replacement for Joe Ford?

No, he isn't leaving. Seen the post match interview with him, and he is looking forward to the new season with us.

With the volume of those leaving vs the volume coming in (although I know there will be some discrepancies in salary) that there should be some money left in the kitty - unless a chunk is tied up with a player that we're not already aware of having been 'confirmed' (through sources/press speculation etc) as being a done deal.
