Murphy has not improved our skills in all the time he has been a coach with us and in my opinion should be asked to stand down from his position, he could then go to the lower leagues and learn his trade there, not returning until he proves he is a decent coach which he definitely is not at this present time.
We need a head coach who has had no association with Tigers and let him bring in his own team, also someone who would not listen to the cartel of players that seem to have to much influence within the club.

Excellent post, Tigers are a club totally obsessed by the past and past players, and as a result remain beligerantly incompetent in every facet of the modern game.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Was this the Club deciding he wasn't going to make the grade or has he been attracted elsewhere? It's a fact that Clubs are vulnerable (under the present Cap structure) to their second string players being poached.

19 players have just been confirmed as leaving, according to the club website:

Matt Smith
Mat Tait
Matt Toomua
Graham Kitchener
Mike Williams
Will Evans
Brendan O'Connor
Valentino Mapapalangi
Joe Ford
Fred Tuilagi
Charlie Thacker
Gareth Owen
Mike Fitzgerald
Campese Ma'afu
David Feao
Ross McMillan
Harry Mahoney
Leonardo Sarto
Clayton Blommetjies

Getting rid of a lot of dead weight from the looks of it.

A lot of those are pleasing and make sense. Some more questionable.

And I think what will be more interesting is what happens in the boardroom and with the coaching restructure and recruitment.

It's a start I guess.

It's a shame that Harry Mahoney stalled this season due to injury. I hope he gets fit and kicks on elsewhere, he has the skills to be a very good Prem hooker.

No Gigena, Cortes or Owen Hills in the departures list. With Bateman and Leatigaga able to play both sides and Grahamslaw to come up that may well be the prop depth sorted.

I did massively rate Toomua last season, not worked out this year though, also BOC was massive for us in a few games but just not consistent. I wish them all well with whatever comes next. Do we know where Fred T is off to? BOC to Japan seemed to be the chat on here previously.

Sad to see David Feao leave, thought we could have made something out of him.

Nearly got them all.

Mahoney, Tuilagi and Evans are the only ones i'm massively sad about.
No Harrison although talk is he could be going mid season next year.

I heard Harrison is off to Australia (for a coaching gig?) at the start of 2020, presumably delaying to cover YBY being at the World Cup?

Mahoney could have been something special, alongside Kerr we had to very promising hookers.

Good to see us putting faith in the props coming through. Heyes has shown he can compete at this level and hopefully Hills and Grahamslaw will get their chances too next season.

Possibly.
Also wouldn't read Denton not being confirmed as off as anything yet, could be waiting for insurance to clear if that is true, or he might be fine same with Stevens.

Anyway currently leaves the squad as for next season.
1. Genge, Bateman, Gigena, Hills,
2. Kerr, Polota-Nau, Youngs, Clare, Stevens (?)
3. Cole, Leatigaga, Heyes, Cortes
4. Spencer, Green, Jordan
5. Lavanini, Wells, Lewis
6. Taufua, Denton (?), Coghlan (?)
7. Thompson, Reffell
8. Kalamfoni, Liebenberg (?)
9. Youngs, Harrison, White, Simmons
10. Ford, Hardwick
11. May, Thompstone
12. Reid, Eastmond,
13. Tuilagi, Taute, Viljoen (?)
14. Holmes, Olowofela
15. Veainu. Worth

Expect a few more signings.

Goodbye and good luck lads, hope you all land on your feet. Blommetjies is an interesting one, thought he did OK in his brief stay with us, definitely good enough for cheap back three cover.

6/7 and 8 still look weak areas, Taufua is class but will take time to adjust to whatever playing style Tigers choose for next season, we are missing a top notch 7, at centre I just hope the new signings are hits not misses, the lock situation looks better and the front row looks like one of the best in the prem. Think we need another 10 as Hardwick will need pushing when Ford is with England, same at 9, hopefully Harrison stays for the season.

Don’t think anybody can predict what’s going to happen next season, if the coaching set up remains then I think we’re going to be in trouble, it clearly isn’t working!!!
