Daily Mails season predictions

Post by 1989Tiger » Mon May 06, 2019 4:14 pm

This is what the Daily Mail predicted for each team at the start of the season.

Although they got our position wrong, they were bang on with this:

CRYSTAL BALL CERTAINTY: A certain former England and Tigers hooker somewhere in Edinburgh still wondering why he was sacked, after never missing out on the playoffs only to see his old side struggle without him.

Can't argue with that. A much maligned view, but one I have held since his sacking
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

An accurate prediction, but the error was in the incompetent actions of the board that followed his sacking, not in the sacking itself.

They sacked "Cockers" but replaced him with duds. That was the problem, and boy did it hurt us.
