Munster appear very disappointed by their decision to leave. Could it be they didn’t get on with Van Graan, or have they just got something else lined up. Seems like they’re leaving together anyhow.
Get Geordan to use his Irish connections.

DoR - Murphy
Head Coach/Defence - Ford
Forwards - Flannery (asst Deacon)
Backs/Attack - Jones (asst Allen)
Scrum - Stankovich

I’d rather a setup like that, than see Cheika involved. I just can’t see him coming in without wanting to be the main man with his own coaches.
Alternatively replace Flannery & Jones with Rowntree & Haig. But that’s the kind of setup I think we need. Murphy with the vision of how he wants to play, Ford to give that experienced head, and then a couple of specialist coaches to improve our pack and back play.
The club appear to be making some astute signings to revamp the playing squad, lets hope they aren’t let down by inept coaching.

Something else lined up.

Talk is Jones getting out of coaching.

Joe Worsley would be an excellent acquisition as defence coach.

Not sure he’d come here unless he was “promoted”.

No one can say that there aren’t any options out there anymore for next season.

Forwards coaches: Rowntree, Flannery, O’Connell
Attack: Jones, Haig, Howley
Defence: Worsley, Ellis

I imagine we’ll end up something perhaps like:
DOR: Murphy
Senior and Defence Coach: Ford
Forwards Coach: *new
Attacks Coach: *new
Scrum Coach: Stankovich

Academy has outperformed the first XV over the past two seasons.

Begs the question - who is taking over the Academy for next season?

Allen wasn’t Head Coach for it this season.

Believe it was Taylor with Smith as a coach.
So potentially Matt Smith

This is wrong on so many levels.

Can understand that AA wants more responsibility and experience, but seems a shame to lose him as he seems to be a bright coaching prospect.

Have a listen to Flats and Shanks podcast from yesterday, they talk at length about the DoR & Head Coach setup at Gloucester. Quite interesting.

"Cheika was the one who brought in the change in mentality and cut out the cancer"

High praise from BOD for Cheika, maybe the man to turn our fortunes around?

Unpopular opinion around here but I'd be well happy with Cheika; he's got bags of experience playing against the best teams in the world and he's not one to take any messing around, i reckon he could be just the driving force we need to make a fresh start. Plus he has connections all over the SH rugby world to help us attract top quality recruits.

No, I think its a good idea. Gain experience and be exposed to new ideas, then come back to Tigers to put them into practice.
