The Challenge Cup is also a qualifying spot for Champions Cup rugby. There are some good teams involved and strong teams are put out.

The challenge Cup is a proper 1st team competition that is the difference. If the Premiership Cup is policed properly with a limit on the number of 1st team players in the match day squad set and adhered to then the problem would be solved. The other option for the Premiership Cup is to follow the Welsh and make it an under 23 competition.
