"So the way we look at it, there are three more games, the next one is Leicester, and there's another five points, and then you move on to Sale and Newcastle, and if we can get those jobs done then who knows."
Two points
1) I can see that he believes we are not at our best and are "get at able"
2) Hes done our coaches job for us. If that is not a "red rag to a bull".

Please let him eat humble pie :smt030 :smt030

Geordan Murphy says Manu Tuilagi could be out for the rest of the season with a damaged hamstring.

The centre will certainly miss the game against Bristol next weekend, but Tigers have not received a medical report to give a full diagnosis.

"We haven’t had a conclusive report but he will be out for a period of time - we just don’t know how long it will be. He's had hamstring injuries before, so we hope we can speed it up his recovery, and feature for us towards the end of the season."

Can well believe that - he doesn't seem to heal quickly. Back to Toomua and????? as the centre combo? Don't think that we will see much of Eastmond either

Here we go again. Just what we didn't want. The injury list is very worrying, and just keeps increasing at a rate of knots.

...and, in other availability news:

Murphy said that full-back Telusa Veainu was making good progress back to full fitness, too, while centre Matt Smith showed no ill-effects as he returned as replacement at Newcastle after four months out with an arm injury.

Murphy said that centre Kyle Eastmond is "touch and go" for the Bristol game as he continues to recover from his own hamstring problem, while there is a possibility of Matt Toomua returning to inside centre if South African full-back Clayton Blommetjies, recently arrived from Scarlets, is available.

"Clayton has been training with us for a couple of weeks but he is ill at the moment," Murphy said. "We will see where he is in relation to his illness and fitness."

And No.8 Sione Kalamafoni will return against Bristol having completed a three-match ban following his red card at Sale.

What is the progress on Jonah Holmes? He is just the fit player we need on the wing or FB.

In answer to a few things.

he is not saying they will get 5 points. He is saying they are taking it one game at a time - so Leicester is another 5 points to play for, then move on etc etc

As for question about Jonah - unfortunately gone for the season - knee ligaments

Manu is likely to miss Bris and Quins regrettably. Telusa unlikely to feature this term either. Eastmonds hammy has been bad for a few weeks, unlikely to feature v Bris or Quins either.
We are very short in centre and back 3 for next 2 matches at least.
Less is more....

Geordie and co are surely not stupid enough to start without one of BoC or Thompson against a running team like Brizzle are they?!

I will lose all confidence in Smurf if he leaves Thompson out of the starting lineup after his performance last week - unless he is injured. He turned in the best performance THIS SEASON by ANY of our forwards last week. Has to start simple as that.

I'd be surprised if Geordie went for that backrow. He's tended to opt for two big blokes and an openside in there. BOC or Thompson have tended to be at 8 recently as they have experience at playing there whilst Fitz and Williams don't. Doesn't make much difference really it's only where they pack down at the scrum, neither BOC nor Thompson really played like an 8 they both were further out linking with the backs in attack and contesting the breakdown in defence.
