Sort of game we should be winning comfortably and hopefully there will be momentum from the Falcons game.
Anticipated conditions may make the bonus point difficult, but the win is far more important

Weather suits us far more than Brizzle Baabaas approach

Not sure why Bristol are not starting with Randall and Madigan at 9/10 - they absolutely shredded us in December . I think our side is about as good as we can put out at the moment .

BO'C - injured, rested? I'd be concerned if Guy Thompson got crocked in the first 10 minutes.....
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Is there some sort of contract agreement that we have to have all 5 locks in the squad??
You have to have a balanced back row, the starting one barely is & any loss of Thompson it would be shockingly bad.
Wells for Kitch to start Reffell/Evans or BOC onto the bench.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

I have no clear sense of how this game will turn out. Any other season this would more or less be a formality at home...

Agreed. Wells offers a lot more at the breakdown where Bristol like to attack as well which would be useful.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 6:49 am Is there some sort of contract agreement that we have to have all 5 locks in the squad??

The team we are putting out should thrash Bristol..no excuses this is a 5 pointer. Any player underperforming should be shown the door at the end of the season. Tigers success was built on the policy not good enough, not putting in 100% you're out the door. (Similar to what happened and Toulon and Edinburgh.) GM needs to be ruthless not the players mate!

Re: Tigers v Bristol - 27th April 2019
We are not short of ability in our squad (except in a couple of positions), but we are lacking enough players with the right character. That doesn't mean that certain players are not trying, but it does mean that when the chips are down, they lack a certain inner grit/fortitude, call it what you will, but Tigers teams have had it in spades for decades.
When folks say "the Tigers have lost their identity...." it boils down to just that, a lack of character within the squad.
That's poor recruitment and poor management.
It will take a while to fix, but Geordan knows what it takes to be a true Tiger and with the right coaches around him (I hope Ford stays on), I think he will sort it out.
Looking forward to today, and I am expecting to win, as we always should at home! Once Welford Rd becomes a fortress again, we will be on the way back, let's hope it starts today and continues against Bath!!

At work and watching the live commentary on the website. Is there an issue with our scrum? We have been pinged twice.
There is never any points for 2nd place...

Missed Tackles have been killing us all season .... we score, they score every time!
