Do you really want Toomua at 15 thought he was poor in D?sam16111986 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:00 pmMight depend on Eastmond. If he's not fit then the options are running thin. Unlikely to see Hardwick or Joe Ford onto the bench with Toomua and George Ford in the 23.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 1:08 pmThe potential of being 12th is pretty rough!
Agree though, maybe he’ll feature in the last 3 rounds.

Re: A team up
His one on one tackling was pretty shocking but our attack looked really good with the Eastmond/Manu midfield and Toomua playing as a wide playmaker sort of like Geordan used to do. Gave us good options on attack with two centres, blindside winger all running off of Ford then Toomua out the back getting the other winger involved.brooksey845 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:41 pmDo you really want Toomua at 15 thought he was poor in D?sam16111986 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:00 pmMight depend on Eastmond. Toomua is normally good in D so hopefully he'll use last week as experience and play better next time out.

Re: A team up
Personally I’d prefer Toomua back at 12 with May, Olowofela and SAR in the back 3.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:00 pmMight depend on Eastmond. Re: A team up
The Ford/Toomua axis hasn't really sparked all season though. It was their best attacking performance at the weekend with Toomua playing wider and more running based threats closer to Ford.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 11:10 pmPersonally I’d prefer Toomua back at 12 with May, Olowofela and SAR in the back 3.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:00 pmMight depend on Eastmond. Hardwick has been getting good reviews and looks brimming with confidence in the small amount of the A league game I saw. Perhaps we'll see him in the 23.

Re: A team up
Should we have been concerned that the scrum was under pressure?
Ma’afu or Feao?
Senior scrum has been a decent platform.

It’s the balance of him maybe not being at his best positionally (defensively) at 15.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 8:33 pmThe Ford/Toomua axis hasn't really sparked all season though.
