Racing 92 v Toulouse - Manu

Post by Traveller »

Watching the game and the quality. Truly astonishing that Manu decided to stay at Welford Road.

This season has been a disaster, and it's been coming for years. BUT - if we can avoid relegation and IF we can get the recruitment right for next season. Well perhaps we've reasons to be optimistic.

With that in mind, and irrespective of what has gone before, all efforts need to be focussed on staying up. If in doubt, buy a ticket for the home and away games if you can. Make a noise. No matter the previous criticisms of individuals. Write letters to the players. Cheer. Overwhelm social media with support for the club. For the next five weeks, all efforts should be on supporting everyone at the club.

If Manu can have confidence in the future - supporters should do so as well. .

I said as much and was rudely shouted down last week, for all it's attritional tags some of the rugby in the Top14 (even though this is a European game) is ridiculously good at times and is far superior to our league.

Absolutely. Each 80 minutes at a time from here.

Big driver for Manu would be the end of his England career and not going to the World Cup.

2 or 3 year contract he’ll still be young enough to get his French payday afterwards
