Brian Moore Article Doom Monger..
Article in the Telegraph today by our Quims ex hero identifying exactly everything we have been saying for the last six years or more.
Useless Board, naming Tom, Cohen Glynn as more interested in the Hotel, loads of churn with second rate players, and a total lack of Coaching ability.
He did not go so far to suggest that importing Mike Ford to oversee the last five games might not be a bad idea.
It couldnt be worse than the present lot, who should be transferred to Nottingham or similar..
Barring Stanko of course, the only asset.

Re: Brian Moore Article Doom Monger..
The hotel and car park are a distraction and are not the issues (read Chuter on Twitter), the business side is well run and a credit to Tigers.
The issue is poor coach/player recruitment and the fact that one person can out vote an entire selection process, coupled with poor coaching support from the management.
Wholesale changes have to be made with at least one/two key people from the board, a new DoR who can do the job (Head Coach is a separate issue). We also need a change in selection processes so we stop wasting time and resources on dead ducks, and full support to the new DoR from the entire board in whatever he needs to take our club forward again.

Who is the one person who can out-vote the entire selection process and is this actually true? I am just interested if it is more heresay than fact. If it is true then there is an even bigger problem.DingDong wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 9:04 am The hotel and car park are a distraction and are not the issues (read Chuter on Twitter), the business side is well run and a credit to Tigers.

Brian Moore does not like Leicester, he and the awful Ackford have always voiced their dislike of Tigers and any Tigers player our success irritated them beyond measure so now the Pitbull thinks we are down he is taking the opportunity to stick his boot in. Take no notice of him, I stopped reading the Telegraph because of Ackford's lies and the papers bias against my team which went beyond constructive criticism.

Time for us to follow Cockerill advice in the season we last won The Premiership Final v Saints.
“No one likes us but we will just circle the wagons, crack on as we always do( and win)! “
Anything v Exeter a bonus but target Newcastle and Bristol.
I just hope the players believe they can do it! If they can’t then so be it.

Moore's article is hardly incisive journalism, he's saying nothing new.

Here's a similar take on situation from a slightly more modern (and funny, not sure Brian's ever told a joke in his life) perspective. https://youtu.be/EJGx_tIhmy8

Look - B Moore great as a player. But his journalism is a hobby for him.He has waited years to get one over on the Tigers.
Pity he couldn't do it on the field of play. So give him his moment of satisfaction in his dotage. If he has anything other than vitiole
to say about the predicament of Tigers, then listen to him.
Todays news - tomorrows chip/loo paper.
Let this be a warning to all clubs.... If it can happen to possibly THE most declorated club in history then it can happen to any club.

A pretty accurate summing up of a great clubs demise. And it’s humourous.CitizenSmiff wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 12:54 pm Here's a similar take on situation from a slightly more modern (and funny, not sure Brian's ever told a joke in his life) perspective. https://youtu.be/EJGx_tIhmy8
I can’t disagree with anything Moore says. It’s factual, whether one likes it, or him, or not.

I recall the 91 World Cup failure.
They had the invite but didn't turn up.
Backward tactics, better players about etc.
He wasn't as good as he might make out and was bang average in my opinion.
Very large chip and shoulder!

Inaccurate video re the academy or at least very out of date.CitizenSmiff wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 12:54 pm Here's a similar take on situation from a slightly more modern (and funny, not sure Brian's ever told a joke in his life) perspective. https://youtu.be/EJGx_tIhmy8

Re: Brian Moore Article Doom Monger..
As a commentator, Brian Moore says what he thinks without hesitation, whether it's criticism of England's opposition, the referee or showing frustration with the occasional ineptitude of the England team, and I for one, have no problem with that.
With this article, it's exactly the same, and if what he writes upsets some of the posters on this board, then so be it.
What he has written needed to be written and has hopefully been read by those who are responsible for the future of our great club.
As a player, he was very good, abrasive and ultra competitive. 64 caps for England and 5 Lions' Tests speaks volumes.
